The PICHULIK team is a pan-African group of spirited women who create everything by hand in our atelier located at 8 Watson Street, in the heart of Cape Town's CBD, just off of iconic Bree street.
PICHULIK employs women, collaborates with women, and outsources to local women-owned small businesses to promote job creation and economic activity in local communities, and champion and augment women earning capacity.
Led by Founder and Creative Director, Katherine-Mary Pichulik, and Commercial Director, Tracey Chaippini-Young, every jewellery piece is made by a single artist, from start to finish mastering a selection of crafting and embellishing skills. Designed out of rope and found materials, this ornamentation is inspired by Africa and adventures to exotic places.

Creative Director
Katherine founded PICHULIK in 2013 and is Joint CEO and Creative Director. Prior to establishing the jewellery and accessories brand, Katherine completed a BA Honours in Fine Arts at Cape Town University. PICHULIK is sold in up to sixteen countries around the world and recently collaborated with Copenhagen luxury brand By Malene Birger. Katherine has received multiple design accolades including, Accessory Designer of the Year by African Fashion International, Vogue Italia’s top 10 jewellery brands, and is regularly featured in global publications, including VOGUE US, VOGUE UK, Conde Nast traveller and L” Official Mexico. Katherine is a South African Gazelle top 40 SMME, and USA VLP alumni.
Tracey Chiappini-Young
Commecial Director
Tracey has twenty years of diverse business strategy, retail and investment management experience. Prior to joining PICHULIK as Joint CEO and Commercial Director, she has held various roles, including MD of Green Cross. CEO TSIBA Investment Fund and CEO of CIDA Empowerment. Over the course of her career Tracey has managed investment portfolios for HSBC, BOE Asset Management and Quaystone. She is the co-founder of specialist online brand Taunina and not for profit How 2 Help. A qualified Chartered Financial Analyst, Tracey has an honours degree in Finance and Economics from UCT, an MBA from TRIUM (NYU, HEC and LSE) and is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
